Hostile Environment Awareness Training

Heat training has been a concept for years for people who may work in dangerous risk areas. Think of people from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or foundations.

These could be people who helped the Taliban take back Afghanistan in 2022. Beirut 2020 is another example. But long-term conflicts like Sudan, for example, send many people there every year for support and aid. In addition, small groups also go abroad for specialist matters. Building a new dam in Rwanda, setting up a school and so on.

A HEAT training has general topics, but is specially tailored to the region and your wishes, which are discussed in a conversation before the training starts.

Topics covered in the Hostile Environment Awareness Training:

• Introduction to risk analysis, awareness of security risks and how to manage them through planning.
• Vehicle security, low profile driving, travel planning, convoy and checkpoint conscience
• Medical training, this can be given in several forms.
• Surveillance & anti-surveillance techniques (surveillance detection).
• Civil unrest and riots
• Conflict & stress management
• Situational awareness & personal safety
• Environmental risks, extreme hot and cold weather
• Abduction, interrogation techniques & detention (conduct after capture)
• Cultural & gender awareness
